Wireless Broadband

|
How
It Works:
Linkit Wireless Broadband connects you to the internet using the Optus 3G
and 'yes' G mobile networks. To get connected, you’ll need an approved Wireless
modem, Linkit Wireless Broadband software (supplied with your modem), a
SIM card and a Linkit Wireless Broadband plan. |
-
We
offer a variety of Plan Options to suit your needs. Ranging from
a 24 month contract which includes a wireless USB modem and the
required software to Prepaid plans that are designed for those
who prefer to only use it for a short period.
-
Plans
are designed to enable you the most efficient access whereby you
only pay for the data that you download and upload relevant to
your plan option.
-
Month
by month access plans are designed for those who dislike being
locked into a contract but wish to gain access regularly on an
on going basis.
-
When signing up to the Monthly and Prepaid Plans it will be necessary
for you to purchase a USB Modem Stick which houses your SIM card.
This modem contains the software to complete your connection and
provide you details of your connection. This Modem is supplied
free of charge with the 24 Month Contract Plans.
- All plans, except
the 6GB Usage plan, are subject to a maximum usage of 6GB in any calendar
month, whereupon the service will be suspended for the remainder of
that calendar month. These services will be unsuspended on the 1st
of the following month. The 6GB Usage plans will be suspended at 7GB.
- Downloads & Uploads
are counted towards included data amount.
- With wireless
broadband it is not possible to provide a service that covers the
whole country as it operates on the Optus 3G and 'yes' G mobile telephone
networks. This can cause black spots similar to those experienced
with mobile telephones. Data speeds can also fluctuate depending on
the level of traffic occuring at a particular time.
