Linkit
WebMail Instructions
Overview:
WebMail is our web-based email interface which allows Linkit customers
to read, manage and send emails via a web browser, using an Internet
connection wherever they are in the world. Although WebMail is mainly
for the use of Linkit users who are travelling, it is also a handy tool
for use on your home or work computer.
WebMail also allows you to view your messages online without downloading
them first, and delete those you would rather not keep permanently.
For example at times you may receive large emails which will be difficult
to download, deleting these through WebMail will clear them from the
server.
WebMail is simple to use if you follow these instructions.
Should you continue to experience difficulties with the WebMail system, or you have a question on that is not answered in this page, please contact Linkit
Support on 07 54508055 for assistance.
Logging
In:
*WebMail requires your account username and password when logging in.
These details are required to identify your mailbox, and confirm your
identity. Your must use your entire Linkit email address (eg. joebloggs@linkt.com.au
or joebloggs@linkit.com.au) and your current Linkit password.
Message Folders:
*Once you have logged in to WebMail, you will see a Folders menu. This
window displays a list of message folders, inside which your mail messages
are stored. By default, WebMail provides you with four message folders.
These are:
Inbox: Your new mail messages are delivered into this folder.
Drafts: Emails which you wish to send at a later time are stored
in this folder.
Sent: Messages that you send to others are (optionally) recorded
in this folder.
Trash: Messages that are waiting to be deleted are stored in
this folder.
*WebMail allows you to create, rename and delete your own message folders,
should you wish to customise the system. See WebMail Advanced for further
details.
*To view the contents of a message folder, click the name of the folder.
(eg: To view your new mail messages, click the INBOX folder.)
Sending

of the WebMail window. The Create Message window will open.

*To send the message to multiple recipients, enter each recipient e-mail
address in the 'To' field separated by a comma.
*Type your message text in the Message field.

send at a later time, for example), click the Save Draft button. (Note:

be returned to the Folders menu. You can access your composition at
a later time from the Drafts folder). When you are ready to send your
message, click the Send button. Your message will be sent, and you will
be returned to the Folders menu.
Reading Messages:
Your e-mail messages are stored within your message folders. (To learn
how to view the contents of a message folder, see Message Folders.)
Within your selected message folder, e-mail messages are displayed (in
date order - newest first - by default). Typically, only ten messages
are displayed on the page at one time (although this can be changed).
*To view the previous or next page of messages (if any), use the > buttons
located at the top of the message list.
*To view an individual message, click the Date, Sender or Subject text
of the chosen message. The Message window, and the contents of your
chosen message, will be displayed.

Messages, above). Then click the Reply button (representing a mail envelope,

above).

of messages at once.
To delete a single message: *Open the message you wish to delete

selected all messages to be deleted, click the Delete button at the
bottom of the WebMail page.
The selected messages are now moved to the Trash folder. They

just-deleted state).

*Open the Trash folder.
*Place a tick next to each message you wish to delete from the Trash.
*Click the Purge button at the bottom of the WebMail page. All selected

of the WebMail window. This will complete your WebMail session.
